drilling transactions on Visualizaiton and Computer Graphics for 'TexClusViz'
Computer Science | Databases | InfoVis | Clustering | Search | Text | VisualizationI decided to drill down in one of the top IEEE publications on Visualization.
It took a while to figure out how to search just one publication. Details: The main site I have for this publication features the newest articles...but no facility for searching just this publication.
I went to the SFU electronic journals website; searched for TVCG, and got a link to this page.
When i tried to cut and paste my 'advanced search' query from last week, however, it threw up all sorts of errors.
I finally resolved to do a simple query from the publication search box; then to increment new search terms in.
My first search was ((cluster* <in> metadata) <and> (text* <in> metadata))<and> (2945 <in> punumber).
This search matched 10 of 1696753 documents.
I then added a negative for texture ((cluster* <in> metadata) <and> (text* <in> metadata)<not> (textur* <in> metadata))<and> (2945 <in> punumber).
I got 0 hits! So all the hits in this Vis & CG publication have more to do with 3D stuff than document clustering.
This is confirmed by searching for ((cluster* <in> metadata) <and> (document* <in> metadata))<and> (2945 <in> punumber); which also produced 0 hits.
I reviewed the 10 articles; only one was germane.
I had found it elsewhere; but since it motivates the field of information visualization more generally, did not download it at that time. It is coauthored by Colin Ware.
